Workshop on the essential research-development plans programming for CEMAC.
From Monday, October 15th to Friday 19th 2007, a workshop on the scientific planning of priority research-redevelopment projects was held in the SAWA hotel (Cameroon).
|
Sixty-two persons took part in the works. These participants come from research institutions of Cameroon, Central Africa, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and Chad, but also from CARBAP and PRASAC.The civil society, beneficiary of the research results, was also represented(PROPAC,CERAD).
Resource persons, notably from CIRAD, from OCEAC and from the CEBEVHIRA took part in the enlivenment of the works. That workshop was led by Dr. Ngou Ngoupayou Jean Daniel, representing the minister of scientific research and innovation of Cameroon. Mr Isais Angue Obama, manager of agriculture, food security and environment of CEMAC was also there.

Further to the presentation of her thesis plan, under the theme: “Study of the genetic diversity of Nericas, lowlands and selection of the productive lineages adapted to the cultural diversity in Africa”. Miss Moukoumbi (holder of a master’s degree II in the field of vegetal organisms’ biology) is one of the fifteen beneficiaries of L’OREAL 2008 UNESCO fellowship.
The research activities will be performed in the African centre of rice (L’ADRAO)
